The first reunion of the project was attended by the project coordinator Angelina Roa, the teacher Jekaterina Budo and the 11th form student Akims Ivancovs, who successfully presented our school with the presentation “My school, my town, my country, my Europe”.
The organizers of the reunion prepared a lot of interesting activities providing a chance to learn about traditional Turkish dances, music, cuisine, wedding tradition and Henna night. The performance about wedding tradition was demonstrated by the primary school learners. Within the reunion, the project group went on educational trips to the archaeological sights of the area: Mount Nemrut, Cendere Bridge, the ruins of the ancient city of the Kingdom of Commagene and visited the Archaeological Museum of Adiyaman. The teachers also had an opportunity to attend the lesson of the Turkish language and the students learnt a traditional Turkish song which they later performed at the farewell party.
